Hailing from India, Being Senior Wine Guru at the resort and my thirst for knowledge fuels my passion for wine and wine making.

Having been raised in a traditional household where alcohol was not permitted, I first encountered wine after I had completed a BSc in Hotel Management whilst working as a bartender. This life changing opportunity led me to further studies and travel in wine cultivating countries. Today, i am being one of few certified Sommelier in the Maldives with a WSET Advanced level certificate in Sake and a WSET Certified Wine Educator. I am currently pursuing my Diploma in WSET from Hong Kong.

I believe it is important to listen to the guest’s needs and he offers a memorable experience, not solely about its taste, but also the story behind the wine for the guest’s pleasure.

Over 14 years of Hospitality experience along with Advanced level certifications in Wine studies, i make my base as a professional sommelier. Travel is alway my best teacher, the first my wine educational Trip to France brought lots of passions towards wine and its rich history.

My work experience gave me the opportunity to learn the wine culture, Meeting wine lovers challenged me to learn more about the wine. In wine there is no limit to learn everyday it teachs you something new and everyday your are beginner.

Over all i am here to share my experince and knowledge. I am putting down my thoughts, my experiences, and my interactions with people from the world of wine and my exposure to the subject. Here will be articles, features, travel to wine regions, memorable wine and food experience. Along with comments and opinions. And plenty of International wine trends as well. There’s so much to talk about here. And my views in my articles and blogs are much like myself – very independent.
